The resident’s family must have a cable provider login for this to work, MMC does not provide this.

If the TV is a Roku-branded TV

  1. Press the power button on the Roku Remote to turn the TV on.
  2. Skip to step 4 in the next section.

If the TV has a Roku Stick plugged into an HDMI port

  1. Press the power button on the TV remote to turn on the TV.
  2. Press the power on the Roku remote to turn on the Roku Stick. Note: The Roku Stick may be set up to turn on and off the TV and control audio.
  3. On the TV remote, press Input, then change the source to HDMI. Note: Typically the Roku Sticks are plugged into HDMI 1 or HDMI 2, the port is labeled on the back of the TV.
  4. Once the TV is showing the Roku menu, use the arrow keys on the Roku remote to navigate the menu and select the requested application. For sports, we have been recommending the NBC (or NBC Sports) app.

         NBC App                                              NBC Sports App

  1. Select the appropriate application to open it.
  2. Once the application is open, press the “Down” arrow key and go to “Live Sports” if the game is already live.
  3. If the game is planned to go live at a later time, the game will be found in the section below labeled “Upcoming Sports.”

If NBC/NBC Sports is NOT linked to the resident’s cable provider

If the application is not linked to the resident’s cable provider (Comcast, Blue Ridge, Spectrum, etc.) then they will not be able to see live events. To link their account, the resident or family member will need their log in information for their cable provider.

If the resident’s family member does not know their sign in information for their cable account, they will need to reach out to support for their carrier and work with their support.

Within the NBC/NBC Sports App you can go to the Profile icon in the top right, then select the option that states link account towards the bottom of the screen.
